Max Schweid is one of the promising young talents emerging through Toyota GR Cup North America, competing in the No. 98 Toyota GR86 Cup car for RVA Graphics Motorsports by Speed Syndicate. The South Florida native made his professional racing debut in 2025 and quickly established himself as a driver capable of competing in the intensely close environment of spec racing, where identical machinery leaves little room to hide and puts the emphasis squarely on preparation, precision and racecraft. Now in his second professional season, Schweid is combining growing experience with the pace and technical understanding required to become a consistent presence at the front of the field.
Schweid wasted little time making a statement in 2026. At the season-opening Grand Prix of Arlington, he put the No. 98 into the fight at the front and came away with a third-place finish in Race 1, earning a podium in the opening race of his sophomore campaign. He followed it with a fourth-place result in Race 2, leaving Arlington with two strong finishes and immediate championship momentum. As the season progressed through Circuit of the Americas and Road Atlanta, Schweid remained firmly in the championship conversation, arriving at Road Atlanta third in the driver standings and continuing to demonstrate the consistency expected of a developing professional driver.
What makes Schweid particularly interesting, however, is the way his development extends beyond the driver's seat. A mechanical engineering student at the University of Central Florida, he has deliberately paired his education with hands-on motorsports experience, pursuing industry internships while building his professional racing career. That technical foundation gives Schweid an unusually complete perspective on the sport: he isn't simply learning how to drive a race car faster; he's developing an understanding of why it behaves the way it does. In a sport increasingly driven by engineering, data and communication between driver and team, that combination gives him an advantage that should only become more valuable as his career progresses.
Beyond the racetrack, Schweid represents a compelling intersection of athletics, engineering, education and technology. Professional, articulate and ambitious, he offers partners a story that reaches well beyond traditional motorsports marketing, particularly for brands interested in automotive technology, engineering, STEM, innovation and the next generation of technical talent. In 2026, Schweid also represents series partner Segra, adding an established technology brand to his growing commercial portfolio. Still early in his professional career, he is building the kind of foundation that creates long-term opportunity: speed behind the wheel, intelligence outside of it, and the discipline to develop both at the same time.
